Feature activation: This new functionality is controlled via a feature and need to be activated before using the functionality.
Feature: DycoTrade easy inventory journals
The following journal types are available to create an easy journal:
- Movement journal
- Inventory adjustment journal
- Transfer journal
- Bills of material
Multi leg transport registration (Section 2.2.2)
This new functionality is built to create the possibility to register basic information about transports steps without using the DCT transport module. It will allow for multiple legs within a transport using the existing From and To transport centers, maintaining the leg order, registration of information like transport company, estimated and actual departure and arrivals and per leg the possibility of keeping track of registration numbers (container numbers, license plates etc).
As this functionality is built completely independent of the DCT Transport module and the goal was to have maximal flexibility these are some of the consequences:
- There is no integration with transports / transport units, so no consistency is checked. Users are free to use either or both, without any restrictions.
- Transport functionality such as quantity validations and calculations are not available under the Multi leg transport registration.
- No validations with regard to consistency of the registered legs have been created. The Multi leg transport registration’ functionality is feature controlled and will not be activated.
To activate the feature go to Feature Management and search for ‘DycoTrade multi leg transport registration’
New Allocation functionality FX-CX contracts (Section 2.2.3)
So far, the allocation functionality for FX and CX contracts was limited to executing the allocation per order/contract line one by one. FX contracts could only be allocated following the rule that the Buy side of an FX contract could only be allocated to physical purchase and the Sell side of an FX contract could only be allocated to physical sales. Allocation of credit lines was not possible. Furthermore, the allocation form itself was limited in filter options.
In this release, we introduce functionality to change that situation:
- We now have a mechanism to select which hedging types to show on the Allocation screen, mainly to prepare for future enhancements. By default, the Sales tax will be hidden since the functionality will be deprecated in a future release (only exists on FX).
- Specific allocation form changes are added, presenting more filter options for the selection of lines.
- Allocation of credit lines will be possible, including the correct calculation of the allocation and impact on the open amount/quantity of the allocation lines and contracts. When posting a credit line, which is allocated to an FX contract, the applicable FX rate will be used for the posting instead of the system rate (subject to the existing Risk management posting rates checks).
- Direction logic for allocation on FX and CX contracts is introduced, allowing more allocation scenarios for purchase and sales lines – Net hedging.
- ‘Update now’ functionality will allow for allocation in bulk rather than one by one, but checks are made whether the allocation is still within the boundaries of the hedge, meaning the impact on the open amount/quantity on the allocation lines and contracts will be guarded.
Reverse calculations at cost code level (Section 2.2.7)
In the CTRM solution, functionality for closing the calculation is only possible per contract/logistic file line. No distinction is made per separate calculation cost code, all cost codes will be closed and reversed in one go. In this version new closing functionality for an individual cost code calculation is introduced. This new functionality is available in:
- Overview precalculated Cost
- Precalculation settlement form
This is a long awaited addition.
Enhancements in this release
Changes to FX and CX forms (Section 2.2.4)
With this release a number of new features on the FX and CX forms are introduced:
- Cancel functionality on FX contract
- Counter partial amount FX and quantity CX
- Automatic status field on CX contracts
- Amount in selected lines for Commodity Exchange contract settlements
- Negative prices for CX contracts
Settle CX contracts with different currencies (Section 2.2.5)
So far, the settlement of Commodity exchange contracts was always done with one currency at a time. With this functionality, Commodity exchange contracts can be settled with each other regardless of currency – but still of course the Exchange product, Period/Prompt date and Broker need to be aligned.
To activate, set the parameter in the Risk management > Setup > Parameters > Commodity exchange contracts
Various enhancements calculation forms (Section 2.2.6)
In this release some additional enhancements were made to the calculations functionality, especially the presentation in some of the forms.
- Added calculation description for cost codes on the precalculation overviews. It is possible to adjust standard descriptions for a calculation cost code specified per contract or transport, in order to add more description details to the used cost codes. To make use of this information, the description is now added in the following calculation overview forms:
- Precalculated costs
- Precalculation settlements
- Show calculation formula on calculation template and calculation overview. Linked to a calculation cost code, the specific type of value is presented (Line amount, Unit amount, Total amount, Percentage). For the other cost codes, no type of value is presented. To give the user more functional insight per cost code, the linked calculation formula is now presented in the overviews.
- Improved overview of presentation cost codes in the calculations grouping. In the calculations overview of the lines, the view can be controlled via a grouping. This grouping wasn’t presented correctly in some of the selections of grouping identifiers. This has been fixed and improved. It is now possible to show the following, depending the activated grouping identifiers: o In case identical cost codes are used in a calculation, these cost codes will be presented as one line, unless other identifiers are also active.
- Grouping based on description and not cost code. The presented lines will now also present the summation line(s) presented separately in the overview.
